Elevated Fishing is built with your privacy as a core principle. The app is designed to work entirely on your device with no accounts, no cloud storage, and no tracking. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights.
We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All information you enter into Elevated Fishing — including catch logs, photos, GPS coordinates, and settings — is stored locally on your device and never leaves it unless you explicitly choose to share.
The app may request the following permissions, each used solely to enhance your fishing log:
You can deny any permission and still use the app. Features that depend on a denied permission will simply be unavailable.
When you log a catch, the app may request weather information from the National Weather Service based on your GPS coordinates. This request is made directly to the NWS public API and does not pass through any Elevated Fishing servers. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.
Elevated Fishing does not require or offer user accounts. There is no sign-up, no email collection, and no login. Your data belongs to you and stays on your device.
The app does not include any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking pixels. We do not track how you use the app, what screens you visit, or how often you open it.
The sections above describe data handling inside the Elevated Fishing app. The marketing website at elevatedfishing.app uses GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to count anonymous visits and see which pages, countries, and US states visitors come from. GoatCounter does not set cookies, does not collect personally identifiable information, and does not track visitors across other websites. No data from inside the app is shared with the website or with GoatCounter.
Elevated Fishing offers an optional subscription through Google Play, available as a monthly or annual plan. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play — we do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or billing address. The only time data leaves your device is when you explicitly use the Share function (for example, sharing a Catch Highlight card). This uses your device's built-in share sheet — Elevated Fishing does not control or track what happens after you share.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control. You can delete individual catch entries within the app, or uninstall the app to remove all data entirely.
Elevated Fishing does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Since we have no way to contact users (no accounts or emails), we encourage you to review this page periodically.
